We are holding a demo with Burton Snowboards on the Tuesday 13th of October 2009. This will be a great chance to test all the latest gear from Burton. The night starts at 8:30pm and finishes at 12:00am. All you have to do is pay for the slope time and you get to test as much gear as you can get your hands on! Cost for adults is £32 (£22.40 members) and £21 (£14.70 members) for juniors.

We have now had our delivery of 09/10 Union bindings. These are definitely amongst the best snowboard bindings available this winter using durable materials, comfort and response to make everyone a fan – not to mention they look the business too!
For those looking for a highly durable performance binding then the Union Force is the binding for you with tool free adjustment, cap straps and a extruded aluminum heel cup for extra strength.
If your in need of an ultra light freestyle binding with no frills then the Union Contact is the right choice. Available in two colour ways – black and CMYK. The Contact is also the perfect complimentary binding for any reverse camber snowboard. The Contact binding allows the snowboard to flex naturally underneath the binding by only having 19% of the baseplate touching the top sheet; which in return creates a much greater board feel.
Union Bindings have also released the Danny Kass pro model binding which is a mixture of the Contact binding and Data binding. Stick these on the GNU Danny Kass pro model board and you’ll spinning 10’s in the pipe in no time!
To top all this off Union offer a lifetime warranty on all the baseplates on their bindings.

Is it Winter already???
With the weather outside about as appealing as a night in a cold, damp, rat infested sewer, you’d be forgiven for thinking summer was officially over. It was nice while it lasted though hey, that fortnight in June was a real corker. Anyway, if it’s going to be rubbish outside we might as well look to the bright side of the winter season and start getting excited about the new ski/snowboard season that is fast approaching!
The reason I say this is because (and I never thought I’d be writing this in August), we have just received our first shipment of brand new skis! Yes, you heard me right – skis. Salomon skis, K2 skis, Atomic skis, Head skis, you’ll soon be able to take your pick of the bunch. And it doesn’t stop there, ski boots have arrived along with nice matching ski boot bags, and other ski equipment such as ski poles, and ski bags. So if you already have your eye on a specific pair of skis this season…you’d can be one of the first to get your mitts on them.
Hot on it’s heels is a whole host of ski gear. Brand new ski clothing is starting to arrive every day from ski jackets to salopettes, and an array of ski accessories including ski socks, ski goggles, ski hats and childrens ski gloves. Something for all the family and all budgets. So maybe don’t leave everything to the last minute this year, make a change and be an early bird. Oh…..but if the sun does come out, get out there and enjoy it. We all know it won’t last long.

FMX quarter pipe world record!
On July 25th, in Chicago’s famed Grant Park, Red Bull FMX rider Ronnie Renner broke his own quarterpipe big air Guinness World Record, setting the new height mark at 63′ 5″ in front of thousands of fans. It didn’t take him long – he hit the big air in his third jump.

Standard Films – Black Winter
Standard Films releases the official teaser to their 2009 offering Black Winter. Witness the arrival of the next era of underground shreds Halldor Helgason of Iceland, Torstein Horgmo from Norway, Jason Dubois from Quebec City and Lonnie Kauk of Mammoth Lakes. Heavyweight Andreas Wiig comes aboard this season with his strongest freestyle segment to date.
