Snow down under.
Yes we know it’s summer here and we’re all rocking board shorts and flip flops, but our friends down under are getting geared up for a epic season. Australian and New Zealand resorts are already beginning to open as snow falls over the Southern Hemisphere! In Australia Perisher was given a early season covering of 21cm (8.5 inches) of fresh snow on the 7th of June as well as Mt Buller receiving 8cm (3.5 inches) overnight. New Zealand has been receiving a good covering as well allowing them to open in May for the first time in 10 years!

After over a decade of trading at good old chesterton road, our beloved Cambridge store has upped sticks and moved to a fantastic new location in the city centre!
You can now find your favourite board sports retailer on Christ’s Lane opposite the Grand Arcade in a plush new premises stocked sky high with all your favourite brands including Billabong, Element, North Face, Quiksilver, Animal, Oakley and many, many more.
Chesterton Road was one of our oldest stores and had lots of long-serving customers, so hopefully you’ll all love the new store even more and tell all your friends in the Cambridge area about it too! So if you’re in a nd around the Cambridge area, go check it out.

Out of the Pond DVD
Out of the Pond is Billabongs first major wakeboard/wakeskate movie, and it doesn’t disappoint. The impressive lineup of riders includes Erik Ruck, Chad Sharpe, Brian Grubb, Shawn Watson and Kevin Henshaw who collectively have pushed the boundaries of wakeboarding and wakeskating once more.
Wakeboarding used to be about getting dragged behind a boat, but as the name suggests things have moved on. No more are they just restricted to ponds and wake tricks. They have built themselves a whole arsenal of things to hit, including wall rides on tour buses, not to mention the weirs and dams they found to throw themselves down. This movie is on the cutting edge of wakeboarding and wakeskating so make sure you watch it.

each age group will get automatic entry into the UK champs 2009 in
September. (The UK Independent Vert series already nurtures new talent
with the inclusion of a B-Group on all the dates)
Just to clarify the term ’sponsored’: If you’re not on the full team or
flow list for a brand then you are unsponsored. For the sake of
argument if you’re shop sponsored only you will be allowed to enter
(no offence shops, you’re nurturing of skaters is very important!).
If you get given a few free bits by so and so because you skate with him
or his team we’ll also let that slide!
